After BattleBots Las Vegas, many wondered "Will Mouser be back?". The answer is, "yes". Mouser had gotten a number of upgrades including a more powerful drive system with more traction and torque, twice the Co2 capacity, a more effective saw, and a new paint scheme. More to come!
My favorite of the many custom parts going in to Mouser.
Here's Mouser with a partial paint job and blue masking tape inside.
This is the "Super" in Super Mecha-Catbot.
Tail spike test successful!
Where's Mouser?
Mouser Waiting to fight.
The Pits were so crouded we would go to our home shop to work on Mouser.
The view of our home town, San Francisco, is great from Treasure Island.
Well we won our first fight with blood moon when a piston knock it over near the end of the match. There again prooving anything can happen out there. Our next match was with Trilobot. That was the first match we've had where we did not hit one hazard. Mouser's tail penetrated Trilobots armor. Mouser also won by knock out with 12 seconds left in the match. Our last match was with Gamma Raptor, which was Beta Raptor at last years San Francisco BattleBots the last time we fought. The match started out pretty good with some good spike tail hits, but we were unable to get under thier bot. They manuvered around and shoved us into the corner and flipped us upside down. We tried flipping Mouser over, but we just push Mouser closer too the hammers. We were done. So we called the match. If you saw the show you also saw Pete hit Mouser a few times after the match was over. It's time to automate the weapons. No one person should have that much influence over a match like that, especially when they are distracted by the audience, but that a whole discussion we won't get into for now. Just trying to keep it fair.
